Fintec Asia Pacific is a Finnish owned trading company set up in 1999 specifically in mind to introduce leading edge Nordic forestry related technology for the South-East Asian market and beyond.

These technologies cover a wide range from forest plantations, logging, sawmilling, debarking, to wood chipping from small mobile units to complete wood yards for panel production and pulping.

The story of Fintec Asia Pacific

The founder of Fintec Asia Pacific, Markku, graduated with M. Sc. degree in Naval Architecture at Aalto University in Finland and is an experienced professional in the field. He has a background in working for several years at Finnish shipyards, where he served as an assistant sales manager. Markku has also spent 7 years as a commercial counselor at the Finnish embassies in Seoul, Jakarta, and Hanoi.

In 1999, Markku established his own trading company, which focuses mainly on serving the Southeast Asian forest technology sector. The company covers all areas from wood plantations to pulp and paper industry. Key principals have been Wood-Mizer and Precision Husky from the United States, Demuth from Brazil, as well as several Finnish companies such as HewSaw, Laimet, Suokone, Nokka, Sermet, and Luxhammar.
